RAND Europe is an independently chartered European subsidiary of RAND. Located in the City of Leiden, the Netherlands, it operates as a foundation, chartered in The Hague under Dutch law. The mission of RAND Europe is to conduct objective, independent, high-quality policy analysis that informs public and private sector decision making throughout Europe. RAND Europe seeks to accomplish its mission through research and analysis of European policy issues of interest to governments, the private sector and the public. RAND Europe's work focuses principally on four substantive areas: Air and Surface Transport and Infrastructure; Health and Environment; Information and Communications; and Defense and Security. RAND Europe research is conducted alone, in conjunction with individuals and research organisations in the Netherlands and throughout Europe, and through close co-operation with other RAND units. |

Danish Technological Institute is an independent, not-for-profit
institution approved as a technological service agency by the Danish Ministry
of Business and Industry. The role of the Danish Technological Institute
is to address the needs of the industrial sector and of society as a whole
by developing and disseminating technological innovation. Technology is
here understood to be broader than technical expertise and to include business
management, the development of organisations and human resources, and wider
societal impacts. A ready fund of technological expertise and business services
is available for improving competitiveness, encouraging the sustainable
use of resources, enhancing employment and the quality of jobs, whilst also

with both Danish and international centres of excellence and research institutes

of specialistic expertise, in the economics, ICT markets modeling, business-consumers
demand analysis, and media-telecom regulatory issues fields. The company
is a fully owned subsidiary of the Databank Group, based in Italy, leader
for Competitive and Customer intelligence, specialised in sectorial competitive
analysis and business performance measurements. The Databank group publishes
multiclient studies analysing market competition on 350 sectors articulated
